Candidates should hold a National Diploma or Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or CET; PrTechEng registration is desirable. A minimum of four years' civil/construction experience and proficiency in AutoCAD are

Qualificações

About the Role Our client is a well-established civil engineering consultancy dedicated to improving infrastructure in the Eastern Cape. They are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technician to join their team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This role involves providing technical support for the design, planning, and implementation of various infrastructure projects, including roads, water supply, and sanitation systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CAD software and have practical experience in site supervision and data collection. You will work under the guidance of professional engineers, contributing to projects that have a tangible impact on the community. Key Responsibilities

• Assist professional engineers in the design and drafting of civil infrastructure projects using CAD software.
• Conduct site investigations, surveys, and data collection.
• Prepare technical drawings, plans, and documentation.

• Monitor project progress and report findings to the engineering team.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
• Registration as a Professional Engineering Technician (PrTechEng) with ECSA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in civil engineering or construction.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.
• Experience with site supervision and quality control.
• Good understanding of civil engineering principles and infrastructure development.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and report-writing abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites in and around Queenstown .
