Job summary

Grada Recruitment in Christchurch is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead significant land development projects across Canterbury. You will drive concept through delivery on large greenfield subdivisions, mentor graduate and intermediate engineers, and maintain strong client relationships with a collaborative team.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will deliver civil designs for residential and mixed-use schemes, coordinate three waters infrastructure, and contribute your expertise to

Qualifications

• At least 6 years' experience in NZ civil engineering.
• Strong background in land development and large-scale greenfield subdivisions.
• Proven experience with 12d.
• Experience designing three waters infrastructure.
• Knowledge of stormwater and flood modelling.
• Understanding of RMA planning processes.
• Experience with NZS 3910 contract administration is advantageous.
• Working towards CPEng or already chartered is desirable, but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil design for residential and mixed-use land development projects.
• Design and coordinate three waters infrastructure.
• Undertake stormwater and flood modelling.
• Work closely with planners, surveyors and project stakeholders.
• Mentor graduate and intermediate engineers.
• Assist with NZS 3910 contract administration where required.
• Contribute technical expertise throughout project delivery.
