Job summary

Archway Recruitment Christchurch is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the team in Christchurch, NZ. You will contribute across land development and civil infrastructure projects, from feasibility to construction support and project delivery.

Working with experienced engineers, you will perform design, calculations, and documentation, ensuring compliance with NZ standards and delivering high-quality outcomes for clients and stakeholders.

About the Role

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join their growing Christchurch-based team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle and contribute to a broad range of land development and civil infrastructure projects.

Working alongside experienced engineers and project teams, you'll be involved in everything from feasibility assessments and detailed design through to construction support and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver civil engineering design solutions from concept through to construction
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and technical documentation
• Design and documentation across stormwater, wastewater, water supply, roading and earthworks
• Undertake construction observation and provide contract administration support
• Liaise with clients, contractors, councils, and project stakeholders

About You

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or related discipline
• Approximately 5-8 years' experience in a New Zealand civil engineering consultancy
• High proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Sound understanding of NZ engineering standards and civil construction methodologies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
