Job summary

Assemble, a respected engineering consultancy, is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join its Christchurch team. You will work across land development and infrastructure projects from feasibility through to construction, taking ownership and collaborating with senior engineers.

You will design civil schemes, prepare calculations and documentation, and engage with clients and councils, within a supportive, flexible environment that supports career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent qualification.
• Experience within a New Zealand civil consultancy.
• Strong civil design experience across land development and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D or 12d and AutoCAD.
• Sound knowledge of New Zealand engineering standards and council requirements.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills.
• Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Civil design across land development and infrastructure projects.
• Stormwater, wastewater, water supply, roading, and earthworks design.
• Preparing engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and documentation.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, councils, and project stakeholders.
• Construction monitoring and contract administration support.
• Contributing to project planning, technical reviews, and delivery outcomes.
