Job summary

PPD Search is seeking a Senior Biomedical Engineer in Auckland, NZ to manage the end-to-end service and operational delivery of biomedical equipment nationwide. You will oversee the NZ workshop, drive asset lifecycle, and ensure service records are accurate and audit-ready within SAP and the Quality Management System.

The role requires independent decision making and strong technical troubleshooting. Responsibilities include complex repairs, preventive maintenance, and compliance with AS/NZS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in biomedical engineering or medical device service.
• EWRB registration with MCPA endorsement or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with capital medical equipment servicing and hospital environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end service and operational delivery across New Zealand.
• Oversee NZ workshop operations and maintain audit-ready service records.
• Inspect, test, and repair loan and demonstration equipment as needed.
• Perform safety and performance testing per regulatory standards and internal procedures.
