Job summary

Fluid Recruitment, on behalf of a well-established Chartered Accounting firm in Wellington CBD, seeks a Senior BAS Accountant to join their growing team. You will prepare and review financial statements, GST returns, and tax compliance while building strong client relationships.

You will manage your own client portfolio, review work for junior staff, and partner with senior team members to deliver practical accounting and advisory services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of NZ public practice experience.
• Strong BAS, tax and financial reporting experience.
• Confident managing your own client portfolio.
• Experience reviewing work and mentoring juniors.
• CA qualified or working towards CA qualification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, GST returns and compliance work.
• Build strong client relationships and provide practical accounting and business advice.
• Work closely with Partners and senior team members on client matters.
• Take ownership of your client portfolio and become a trusted point of contact.
• Opportunity to further develop advisory, commercial and client-facing skills.
