Job summary

TYM MANAGEMENT is seeking a hands-on software developer to turn operating requirements into reliable applications for head office and stores in New Zealand. You will design, implement, test, deploy and continuously improve the store ordering portal, product catalogue, supplier purchases and inventory movements.

You will collaborate with head office, finance, store teams and external providers to deliver planned stages, and build secure interfaces with robust data models and auditable records.

Qualifications

• At least five years of relevant software or systems development experience, with evidence of designing, building, testing and supporting production applications.
• Strong practical ability in an established backend language and framework, modern web development.

Responsibilities

• Analyse head office and store processes and translate business needs into technical specifications and data models.
• Design, write, maintain and improve application code for store ordering portal, product catalogue, supplier purchase orders and inventory movements.
• Build secure, usable web interfaces and backend services with role-based access, approval workflows and auditable transaction records.
• Develop and maintain Xero integration for store invoices, invoice delivery, payment status and accounting exceptions.
• Assess supplier interfaces and implement approved API or file-based connections where feasible.
• Develop the next stage of POS and online ordering with supported payment integrations and royalty reporting.
• Write and run tests; diagnose defects; verify data accuracy, access controls, performance and recovery before releases.
• Manage source control and deployment processes, monitor application health and maintain technical documentation and user guidance.
• Advise management on technical options, development estimates, software and integration costs, risks and priorities.
