Job summary

Moore Markhams Auckland is seeking a Senior Auditor to provide prompt, personalised service across audit and assurance engagements. This hands-on role requires ownership of work, mentoring juniors, and building strong client relationships in a collaborative, growth-minded environment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years'' NZ post-qualification experience in audits, a solid grasp of ISA NZ and NZ financial reporting standards, and the ability to translate complex information for clients and colleagues

We are a Mid-tier established CA firm looking for a Senior Auditor to provide prompt, personalised service across all our audit and assurance services. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with clients, providing outstanding assurance and general advice, and taking ownership of their work in a supportive environment.

About the role

This is a hands-on senior position where you will:

• Provide a broad range of audit and assurance services to clients including meeting compliance requirements and NZ standards
• Build trusted client relationships and aim to exceed your clients' expectations
• Review work and assist with mentoring and developing junior team members

About you

You bring 3+ years’ NZ post-qualification experience in conducting audits and process reviews.

You have sound working knowledge of ISA NZ, financial reporting standards and requirements, new standards and updates and persuasive analytics. You are well versed in managing individual audit assignments end to end.

With a genuine interest in business, you have sound reporting skills and knowledge in preparing and reviewing accounts. You’re a clear, confident communicator and confidently manage client relationships. You have a knack for translating complex information for both clients and colleagues. You are a collaborative team player with a growth mindset and thrive in a high-performing culture.
