Job summary

Bakertilly Staples Rodway NZ is seeking an audit professional to manage audits from start to finish with ownership of client liaison and technical details. You will plan and balance your workload while delivering high-quality audits across a diverse client base in the Taranaki region.

The role requires a CA qualification (or near completion) and 2–3 years of experience in a CA firm, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency and professionalism within a collaborative team.

Managing your own audits from start to finish, including all the client liaison, this role is the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys every element of the audit profession. You will be taking ownership of your clients from day one, responsible for the technical detail of your audits and managing your own workload / planning.

We have a range of clients, covering several industries and with a 50/50 split between not for profit and for-profit organisations.

The team: Our Audit team is busy and bursting with opportunity. We are a close team, who work together to develop our technical knowledge by brainstorming different approaches and methodologies all while having a laugh.

Our standard work week is 37.5 hours but during the busy times, we can work between 45 and 50 hours. All extra hours are tracked through our time in lieu policy, which allows you to bank them and have an extra-long break over summer or have them paid out!

We are a small audit team locally but work closely with our national team combining our training and other development opportunities. We have a diverse client base, and as we are a licensed Audit Firm, we get opportunities and work that other small Firms may not.
