Job summary

Hypr NZ is looking for a Senior Consultant in AI Engineering to join their remote-first team. This role involves designing and shipping AI-native systems and contributing to solving complex client challenges. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in AI production systems and strong software engineering fundamentals.

The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and a commitment to continuous learning in a fast-paced AI environment. Candidates from the Auckland region are preferred for occasional client engagements.

Qualifications

• Experience in building AI-native systems with multi-agent orchestration.
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to mentor and support less experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI systems addressing both technical and non-technical challenges.
• Work across the full delivery lifecycle from architecture to production.
• Mentor junior team members and continuously learn in the AI engineering field.

Skills
