Job summary

Bizworx Consultancy Limited is seeking an experienced Intermediate/Senior Accountant to join its team in Raglan. You will work with SME clients, delivering trusted business advice, financial insights and high‑quality compliance work.

You will manage client portfolios, prepare statements and tax returns, and support business growth through strategic insights and advisory services. A strong NZ taxation knowledge and CA qualification are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a Chartered Accounting practice, ideally CA qualified.
• Strong understanding of New Zealand taxation and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with Xero and cloud accounting software.
• Experience in XPM and CCH based work papers would be advantageous.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME clients.
• Prepare financial statements, tax returns and management reports.
• Advise clients on business performance, strategy, and growth.
• Deliver management reporting and business advisory services.
• Manage GST, PAYE, and FBT compliance obligations.
• Peer review the work of team members.
• Support and train team members.
• Lead process improvements and internal initiatives.
• Provide Xero advisory and cloud accounting support.
