Job summary

Bizworx Consultancy Limited in Raglan seeks an experienced Intermediate/Senior Accountant to join our SME-focused team. You’ll deliver trusted business advice, financial insights, and high-quality compliance work, working closely with clients to drive performance.

You'll manage a portfolio of SMEs, prepare financial statements and tax returns, and lead advisory services. This role offers a supportive culture, ongoing development, and career progression in a beautiful coastal town.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in a Chartered Accounting practice.
• CA qualified with NZ taxation/compliance knowledge.
• Proficient with Xero and cloud accounting.
• Experience with XPM and CCH work papers is advantageous.
• Strong Excel skills and MS Office experience.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME clients and provide business advice.
• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and management reports.
• Advise on business performance, strategy, and growth.
• Deliver management reporting and advisory services.
• Oversee GST, PAYE, and FBT compliance obligations.
• Peer review and train team members; lead process improvements.
• Provide Xero advisory and cloud accounting support.
