Job summary

The Andersen Partnership in Auckland seeks a Senior Accountant to own client relationships and review work beyond core compliance. You will manage financial statements, tax returns, and GST for diverse clients, while mentoring junior staff and liaising with clients on complex matters.

CA ANZ qualification or progress toward completion is expected. The role offers a clear path toward Manager with study support and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience in public practice and review processes.
• Strong technical accounting and tax fundamentals.
• Experience with a range of client entities (individuals, trusts, companies).
• Comfortable liaising directly with clients and progressing toward a Manager role.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of clients: financial statements, tax returns, GST compliance.
• Preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies, partnerships.
• Reviewing work by Intermediates and Graduates and supporting development.
• Liaising directly with clients on complex tax and structuring queries.
• Collaborating with Managers and Partners on larger matters.
• Building client relationships within the portfolio.
