Central Regional Health School Wellington is seeking a NZ registered teacher to lead SENCO and Learning Support coordination across a geographically dispersed region. The role focuses on identifying and coordinating learning support, developing IEPs, and strengthening inclusive, trauma-informed practice in partnership with whānau and health professionals.

Travel is required; the successful candidate will advocate for students and ensure equitable access to education and successful pathways back

Qualifications

• NZ registered teacher with experience in learning support.
• Strong knowledge of inclusive education and learning support systems.
• Ability to partner with whānau, health professionals and schools.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive practice.

Responsabilités

• Lead identification, coordination, and monitoring of learning support for diverse needs.
• Coordinate IEPs and transition planning.
• Build teacher capability in inclusive, trauma-informed practice.
• Collaborate with whānau, health professionals, enrolling schools, and community agencies.
• Coordinate access to specialist services and learning pathways.
• Contribute to strategic planning and inclusive school-wide practices.
• Advocate for students with their voices central to decisions.
