Job summary

FIRST Security in Auckland is seeking a Security Cluster Training Manager to join our team, supporting a key Data Centre client. This is a field-based role, not desk-bound, you’ll work directly with security teams, investigate issues, coach people and deliver practical training to raise performance.

You’ll develop proactive training plans, maintain records, and deliver training across sites to keep our people compliant and capable in a highly controlled Data Centre environment.

Qualifications

• Understanding security operations and people.
• Experience working in a Data Centre or similarly highly controlled operational environment.
• A strong background in security operations, with experience leading, supervising or developing security personnel.
• Experience coaching people and addressing performance issues.
• Confidence dealing directly with clients and investigating operational problems.
• Strong communication and training skills, with the ability to make procedures practical and easy to understand.
• Good organisation and time-management skills.
• A hands-on approach and willingness to regularly travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Deliver face-to-face, on-the-job and client-specific training to security personnel.
• Travel between Data Centre sites and build strong relationships with frontline teams and operational leaders.
• Respond to incidents, client concerns and operational issues.
• Identify training and capability gaps and provide practical coaching and retraining.
• Work with managers and the client to develop proactive training plans and address recurring issues.
• Maintain training records, competencies and compliance requirements.
• Develop and update training materials and support e-learning through our training systems.
• Monitor training effectiveness and look for ways to continuously improve capability and performance.

Hands-on security leadership | Data Centre environment | Auckland

FIRST Security is looking for a Security Cluster Training Manager to join our Auckland team, supporting a key Data Centre client.

This is not a traditional desk-based training role. You’ll be out in the operation, working directly with security teams, investigating issues, coaching people and delivering practical training that improves performance.

You’ll play a key role in developing proactive training - identifying gaps before they become incidents and ensuring our people are equipped to deliver to a high standard.
