Job summary

JobSpace in Auckland is seeking a Security Consultant to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will conduct security risk assessments, review policies, and advise clients on mitigation strategies.

The role requires at least 2 years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s licence, and physical fitness. A pre-employment medical and drug test will be conducted, and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience required.
  • Must have a Drivers Licence to visit sites.
  • Applicant must be physically fit.
  • A pre-employment medical and drug test will be a part of the recruitment process.
  • Flexible with working hours and should be able to work over the weekends (days of work includes weekends, as per the employers requirement and weekly roaster)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments for client sites to identify security vulnerabilities and safety risks.
  • Analyse existing security systems, policies, and procedures to identify gaps and advise clients on security risks, compliance, and mitigation strategies.
  • Design and recommend integrated security systems, specifications and support implementation planning.
  • Analyse existing security systems, policies, and procedures to identify gaps and develop/ recommend client security policies, emergency response plans, and business continuity procedures.
  • Liaise with clients and external agencies in an advisory and coordination capacity to develop and recommend security policies, emergency response plans, and business continuity procedures.
  • Monitor industry developments and emerging threats to ensure client security solutions remain current and effective.
  • Review incident data and trends to provide strategic recommendations for ongoing risk reduction.
  • Prepare detailed security risk assessments and advisory reports on identified irregularities and provide training guidance and awareness recommendations to client staff on security practices (non-operational delivery where applicable).
