Job summary

Mitre 10 MEGA Upper Hutt is seeking a part-time Security Team Member for a fixed-term summer shift. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, secure environment for customers and staff, with a visible presence on the shop floor and CCTV monitoring.

Ideal candidates are observant, professional, and calm under pressure, with basic computer skills and a good understanding of Health & Safety practices. Availability includes Sundays and Mondays, approx.

Qualifications

A bit about the role…

We’re looking for a confident and reliable Profit Protection / Security Team Member to join our team at Mitre 10 MEGA Upper Hutt in a Fixed Term capacity.

This is an important role focused on maintaining a safe and secure environment for both customers and team members. You’ll help minimise loss and protect company assets, while maintaining a visible and professional presence on the shop floor.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring store activity to prevent theft and damage
• Maintaining a strong and visible security presence
• Supporting loss prevention initiatives and reducing shrinkage
• Monitoring CCTV and security systems
• Providing excellent customer service while maintaining store security
• Helping maintain a safe and secure store environment

What we’re looking for…

We’re seeking someone who is observant, professional, and confident in their approach. Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
• A calm, confident, and professional manner
• The ability to think quickly and respond appropriately
• Experience using CCTV or monitoring equipment (preferred)

• A good level of fitness, as the role requires standing and walking for extended periods

• Roster: Sunday and Monday (16 Hours a week)
• Must be available throughout December 2026 and January 2027
