Job summary

Mitre 10 MEGA Porirua is seeking 9x part-time team members for the Summer Period, with roles starting as soon as possible. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service, learn product locations, and support stock to keep shelves full and looking great.

Roles involve 15–30 hours per week, across weekdays and weekends. A forklift license would be preferred but not essential; be prepared for group interviews and pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication is essential.
• Able to work across departments and learn product locations quickly.
• Comfortable standing for long periods and manual handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver epic customer service to every customer, every time.
• Learn products in your department and keep shelves stocked and tidy.
• Assist with stock management and price labeling.
• Be available for weekend shifts and group interviews if shortlisted.

We havepositions available across various departments throughout the store.

Being a TeamMember at Mitre 10 MEGA Porirua is all about being customer obsessed. Yourfocus will be on delivering epic customer service to every customer, everytime. Whenyou’renot busy with customers,you’llbelearning about the products in your department, and working with stock to makesure the shelves are full and looking good.

Allavailablepositionsincludeat least one weekendday,andarepart-time 15-30 hours per week.Hours will vary to coverour operating hours (7.00am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday, and 8.00am - 6.00pm onweekends and public holidays).

Ideally thesuccessful candidates will have a passion for customer service, excellentcommunication skills, and have an enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude!

• Greatwork ethic, a can do attitude, and a team player
• Excellentverbal and written communication skills
• Confidenceusing a computer and the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Strongattention to detail, with the ability to adapt and be flexible
• Thephysical capabilities to manage the manual handling aspects of this role(manual handling, prolonged standing, ladder use)
• Agood awareness of Health & Safety
• Mustbe available throughout December 2026 and January 2027

You’llalsoneed to be physically fit and able for these positions as you will spend a lotof time on your feet, up and down ladders, and heavy lifting with the team.

A Forkliftlicense for certain roles would be preferred but not essential!

Should you beshortlisted you must be available toparticipatein a groupinterviews. You will be taken through a short interview and be given somesimple tasks to complete in a group situation.
