Job summary

Blue Eagle Ltd in Wellington is seeking a Security Technician for a full-time, on-site role. You will install, configure, and maintain alarms, access control, and surveillance equipment, ensuring seamless operation.

You will perform routine inspections, diagnose issues, document work, and support cybersecurity measures related to physical security while adhering to health and safety standards on-site at client locations.

Qualifications

Strong troubleshooting skills for security systems and hardware.
Knowledge of cybersecurity and network security for connected devices.
Experience with alarm systems, access control, and surveillance tech.
Understanding of OH&S requirements on-site and at client locations.
Relevant technical certification or qualification in electronics, IT, or security systems.
Ability to read diagrams and document configurations clearly.
Effective communication and teamwork with diverse clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain security systems, including alarms, access control, and surveillance equipment.
Perform routine inspections and diagnose issues to ensure systems operate correctly.
Document work performed and keep configurations up to date.
Support cybersecurity measures related to physical security systems.
Collaborate with colleagues and clients to address security concerns.
Adhere to occupational health and safety practices on-site and at client locations.
Possess a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to client sites.
