Job summary

Honeywell Technologies in Wellington, New Zealand, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to deliver high-quality service on client sites. You will manage on-site tasks from planning to execution, ensuring minimal downtime and maximizing customer satisfaction across live systems.

The role requires a background in electrical/electronic/mechanical/mechatronic engineering with hands-on experience in BMS/HVAC (Niagara) or security systems, plus strong communication and travel readiness to support

Qualifications

• A degree or considerable experience in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, and Mechatronic engineering.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in BMS/HVAC with Niagara systems or Security.
• A comprehensive understanding of BMS systems or Security with control theory, plant operation, tuning and fault-finding including diagnostics
• Electronic security will also be highly regarded
• Strong customer relation skills with commitment to customer satisfaction

Responsibilities

• To keep abreast and maintenance of sites and customer needs by continued development of customer relationships
• Providing technical support to peers, which may include other technical representatives, Account Managers, Engineers etc.
• Identifying sales and service opportunities
• To keep technical knowledge current – may require additional activities, such as self-learning on technical products
• Keep customer fully informed of possible system enhancements and upgrade paths
