Job summary

AWF Group is seeking a reliable and mechanically minded Secondary Tool Technician for a permanent part-time role. You will support the Service Technician in maintenance, servicing, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment and tools, ensuring customers receive timely, professional service and equipment remains in top condition.

You will work closely with the primary Technician, perform on-site or in-house tasks, and help keep accurate records while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Support lead Technician with maintenance and larger projects.
• Communicate progress and recommendations to customers and teams.

Job description

We are seeking a reliable and mechanically minded Secondary Tool Technician for a permanent part-time position. This is a hands-on role supporting the maintenance, servicing, repair, and troubleshooting of a range of equipment and tools. Working closely with the primary Service Technician, you will help ensure customers receive timely, professional service and equipment remains in excellent working condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site or in-house technical service, maintenance, and repair of company products or equipment when required by the Service Technician.
• Perform installation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance as needed.
• Respond promptly to service requests, ensuring minimal disruption to customer operations.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work completed, parts used, and time logged.
• Assist in diagnosing technical issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Support the primary Service Technician with routine maintenance and larger projects when available and required.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams regarding service progress, findings, and recommendations

Skills & Qualifications

• Technical knowledge and experience working with tools
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites as required.
• Previous experience in technical service or as a Service Technician is preferred.
