Job summary

Talent is seeking a technically capable Field Service Technician to support our enterprise client across Greymouth and the wider West Coast region. The role involves installing, maintaining and repairing hardware at customer sites to ensure continuity of operations and high customer satisfaction.

This is a three-month contract with potential extension, and offers flexibility for part-time hours alongside other commitments.

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a technically capable Field Service Technician to support our enterprise client across Greymouth and the wider West Coast region.

In this hands-on role, you will install, maintain and repair hardware equipment at customer sites, helping ensure continuity of operations and a high level of customer satisfaction.

This is an initial three-month contract that may be extended, although an extension cannot be guaranteed. It could be a great opportunity if you are looking for part-time work, flexibility between roles or additional hours alongside other commitments.

Location and travel

You will be based in Greymouth and required to travel to customer sites across the West Coast, including Hokitika, Westport, Reefton and surrounding areas.

You must have:

• A reliable vehicle
• Your own vehicle insurance
• A full, clean New Zealand driver licence
• Flexibility to travel throughout the assigned territory

Hours

You will work a minimum of 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm. There may be opportunities to work additional hours depending on operational requirements.

• Experience repairing PCs, ATMs, electronic equipment or machinery
• Strong technical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting hardware issues
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• A reliable, flexible and self-motivated approach
• Availability to travel between customer sites
• A reliable vehicle, appropriate insurance and a full, clean driver licence
