Omakere School is seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative Scale A teacher to join our rural school in Central Hawke’s Bay.

We are looking for a strong classroom practitioner who builds positive relationships, works well in a team, has high expectations for learners and is keen to contribute to the wider life of the school. We value initiative, humour, flexibility and a genuine willingness to get involved. Class level will be determined based on the strengths of the applicant.

This position qualifies for the Teacher Bonding Scheme (TBS). The eligible teacher recruited into this vacancy will receive annual payments accumulating to a maximum of $40,000 (before tax) after 5 years. See Teacher Bonding Scheme for more information.
