Job summary

Karori West Normal School, Wellington, seeks a positive, motivated Certificated teacher for a Scale A role spanning Years 1–8. Our high‑performing, collaborative staff will support you as you contribute to the school curriculum across primary and intermediate levels.

We value organised, creative teaching, strong relationships with students and whānau, and ongoing professional learning. The appointment starts term 1, 2027; opportunities for school leadership involvement are available.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certificated teacher with NZ teaching registration.
• Experience contributing to primary/intermediate curricula is helpful.
• Strong commitment to ongoing professional learning and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Teach across Years 1–8 (primary and intermediate).
• Collaborate with staff to develop and deliver the school curriculum.
• Build strong, authentic relationships with students and whānau.
• Engage in ongoing professional learning and school leadership opportunities.
