Job summary

Employment Hero is recruiting a Sales Development Representative to join the NZ Sales Team. You will drive qualified leads and opportunities, supporting the growth of our Employment Operating System for hiring, HR, payroll and benefits.

You will engage in high-volume outbound outreach, identify decision-makers, and partner with Account Executives to route and advance opportunities while maintaining a healthy prospect pipeline. This remote-first role offers autonomy and global AI-enabled tools.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of high-volume outbound B2B sales experience.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Experience with prospecting and lead qualification.

This role

As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll be working with the NZ Sales Team, reporting to the Sales Development Manager and will be instrumental in shaping Employment Hero’s growth by driving a significant increase in qualified leads and opportunities, directly contributing to our mission of revolutionising workforce management.

Your Key Focus Areas Will Be

• Generating new sales opportunities through lead follow-up, outbound cold calls, and emails.
• Identifying and nurturing key decision-makers within your assigned accounts to spark their interest in Employment Hero's solutions.
• Collaborating with Account Executives to route promising opportunities for further development and closure.
• Maintaining and growing your prospect database, ensuring a continuous flow of qualified leads.

This Will Include

• Source new sales opportunities through lead follow-up, outbound cold calls and emails
• Understand customer needs and requirements through discovery calls
• Route promising opportunities to the appropriate Account Executives for further development and closure
• Dive into account research, identifying key decision-makers and sparking their interest
• Maintain and grow your prospect database within your assigned segment
• Collaborate on performing engaging online demos to prospects as needed

Who You Are

• 1+ years of proven high volume outbound sales experience (B2B)
• Experience with tools like Sales LinkedIn Navigator, Lusha, ZoomInfo and Outreach
• Track record of over-achieving on targets
• Strong phone presence and demonstrated resilience to be on the phone all day
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong listening and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively
