Job summary

Switch Lighting in Nelson, New Zealand, is seeking aSales Administrator to manage trade customer inquiries, orders and documentation. You will work closely with Stores, Dispatch and Production to ensure accurate and timely fulfilment of customer orders.

The role requires strong data entry, pricing and product information skills, along with excellent communication and a customer-first attitude. This on-site position offers collaborative teamwork and exposure to export processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales administration or order processing.
• Proficient with data entry and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort with pricing, numbers and product information.
• Willingness to collaborate with Stores, Dispatch and Production.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for trade customers and provide product knowledge.
• Respond to telephone and email enquiries promptly and professionally with accurate product information.
• Manage export orders and related documentation; assist with quoting.
• Process incoming customer purchase orders in the ERP system and generate documentation for Stores & Production.
• Ensure sales order information is complete and accurate; resolve discrepancies before orders move to Production or Dispatch.
• Monitor outstanding orders and follow up on escalated issues affecting customer expectations.
• Communicate order status and updates to customers as required.
• Support Stores & Dispatch during busy periods and for holiday or sickness cover.
• Collaborate with Stores, Dispatch and Production to fulfil orders in a timely, accurate manner.
