Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.

Great People Recruitment – Cambridge, North Island

Help people build a home they'll love for years to come.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and relationship-focused sales professional to join a growing and successful team known for delivering exceptional customer experiences and results that people are proud to recommend.

With 25 build contracts secured in their first 12 months, a growing portfolio of homes underway, a new Cambridge show home about to commence and significant developer relationships being established across the region, our client is entering an exciting phase of growth.

About the Role

As a Sales Consultant, you’ll play an important role in that journey and can help shape the next phase of the business’s growth. This self-employed position offers the security of a competitive retainer together with uncapped commission, allowing you to directly benefit from your success while enjoying the support of proven systems, established processes and an established reputation for excellence.

This is far more than a traditional sales position. You’ll proactively source, connect and work closely with prospective clients, helping them explore options, understand possibilities and confidently move forward on one of the most significant investments they'll ever make. You’ll become a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the design and pricing process while ensuring they understand each stage of the journey. You’ll help transform ideas, wish lists, budget, and timelines into practical solutions that align with each client's vision and expectations.

Success in this role comes from building strong relationships, generating opportunities through networking and referrals and delivering an outstanding customer experience from first enquiry through to contract signing. No two days are the same. You’ll balance showhome consultations, client meetings, site visits, networking events, business development activities and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires regular time in the office and design hub as well as showhome coverage, client meetings and business development activity, including participation in a one-in-three weekend showhome schedule.

About You

You are a self-starter who enjoys building relationships, achieving goals, and helping people make informed decisions. You’re motivated by success, but you understand that great outcomes come from consistent activity, strong processes, excellent communication, and genuine care for the customer experience.

This is a proactive sales role where you will be expected to create opportunities through disciplined networking, referral relationships and active business development. You will also receive enquiries through our client’s brand and local marketing activity.

  • A strong sales background with demonstrated success in achieving results.
  • Excellent relationship-building, exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to understand a client's brief, budget, timeline, priorities and wish list.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to translate long-term goals into consistent weekly activity, conversion targets and signed contracts.
  • A commitment to proactively generate leads and new business.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities.
  • A commitment to owning and updating an accurate HubSpot pipeline.
  • Confidence establishing and maintaining connections with developers, agents, landowners and professional referrers and networking within the wider community.
  • The drive to follow up on all enquiries consistently and persistently.
  • Strong attention to detail and a process-driven approach.
  • A willingness to learn technical product knowledge, design options, pricing structures, and build processes.
  • The ability to clearly explain information and ensure customers understand their options and next steps.
  • A genuine interest in home design, quality craftsmanship and emerging trends.

Experience in residential construction, property, real estate, home improvement, or related industries would be advantageous, however, talented sales professionals from other sectors are encouraged to apply.

Training and Support

Comprehensive online and in-house training is provided to support your success. You’ll receive ongoing coaching and development to help you build confidence in product knowledge, home design options, pricing and systems. You’ll be backed by experienced Franchise owners who want to see you succeed.

What's On Offer
  • Competitive retainer together with uncapped commission.
  • The opportunity to directly benefit from your success.
  • Join a business with strong momentum, an expanding market presence and exciting growth plans in a fast-growing region.
  • Excellent online and in-house training programmes.
  • A supportive and collaborative team culture.
  • Regular social events, team dinners and incentive opportunities.
  • A culture built on quality, integrity, care, professionalism, and excellence.
Additional Requirements
  • Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
  • Reliable vehicle for business-related travel.
  • The legal right to live and work in New Zealand.

If you enjoy working with people, have a passion for quality homes and great design and want to be part of a growing success story where your effort, professionalism, and results are recognised and rewarded, we’d love to hear from you.

Only applicants with the legal right to live and work in NZ will be considered for this position.
