Job summary

Metlifecare is seeking a Sales Assistant in Tauranga to support Sales Executives across Bay of Plenty and Waikato villages. The role is a 12-month fixed-term, based mainly at Greenwood Park, with travel to other BoP sites and Hamilton about once a month.

You will deliver admin support, exceptional customer service, and assist with marketing activities, reporting, and CRM updates, reporting to the Sales Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales administration, sales support, or retirement/property sectors.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Willingness to travel between villages in BoP and Hamilton.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly sales reports and forecasts.
• Answer inbound sales inquiries and conduct village tours.
• Support resident transitions (move-ins) as needed.
• Assist with marketing event preparation.
• Update weekly marketing plan and competitive reports.
• Attend events and coordinate logistics.
• Maintain CRM with up-to-date customer info.
• Process purchase orders and related payments.
• Stock and manage marketing collateral.
• Provide general sales and office administration.

About the role

Based in Tauranga, we are seeking a highly organised and motivated Sales Assistant to support our Sales Executives across several of our villages in the Bay of Plenty and Waikato region. This is a 12-month fixed term positionand based primarily at our Greenwood Park Village, but does alternate between other BoP villages and visits Hamilton villages approximatley once a month.

Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager, you will be the go‑to person for the sales team, delivering efficient administrative support, exceptional customer service, and coordinated marketing assistance. Your contribution will play a key role in helping us achieve our overall sales, marketing, and financial goals across the villages.

There will be some travel required across these villages and flexibility on weekends to be available for open days when required.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Weekly Sales Reporting (Applications, Settlements, Monthly Forecasts)
• Handling In-bound Sales Enquiries and Village Tours
• Managing Resident Transition Process (move ins) where required
• Assisting in Marketing Event Preparation
• Weekly Marketing Plan and Competitive Activity Report Updates
• Organise and attend events
• Maintain the CRM system to update customer information
• Completing Purchase Orders and other related activities for Payments
• Order and maintain stock levels of marketing collateral
• General sales and office administration required

About you

You are an organised, proactive multitasker who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys supporting a team to succeed. You bring strong attention to detail, confidence juggling multiple priorities, and a naturally customer‑focused approach. You’re comfortable working with different stakeholders, love keeping systems tidy, and take pride in delivering high‑quality admin and reporting. Happy to do minor travel around BoP and to Hamilton at times (fully reimbursed)

• Some exposure to Power BI, plus willingness to learn
• We've mentioned the CRM system exposure above but just want to reiterate it here!
• Have your own car and comfortable driving between sites (mileage reimbursed) and can travel at times
• Background in sales administration, sales support, or the retirement/property sector would be advantageous
