• Proven track record in sales, preferably in similar industry or market.

• Proficiency with CRM and Microsoft Office.
• Solid understanding of sales cycle from lead to closure.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Valid driving licence.

About the role

We are seeking a talented and driven Sales Consultant to join our team at JLD Enterprises Limited trading as Christchurch Premium Cars on a full-time basis, 5 day working week, located in Christchurch Central Canterbury. This is an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of our sales operations, where you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and building lasting relationships with our clients. As a Sales Consultant, you will be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities, engaging with prospects, and converting leads into loyal customers. This position offers significant potential for personal and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Greeting customers and building relationships.
• Understand customer needs and propose solutions and options.
• Following up leads, qualifying customers, selling cars!
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to maximise retention and identify upsell opportunities
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of all customer interactions and sales activities using CRM systems
• Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, product and customer service to ensure seamless customer experiences
• Start to finish sales, from first contact with customer right through to doing / organising delivery.
• Offering mechanical warranties and finance packages where applicable

What we're looking for

• Proven track record in a sales role, preferably within a similar industry or market sector
• xExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and effectively
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close deals whilst maintaining customer satisfaction
• Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office applications
• Sound understanding of the sales process from lead generation through to contract closure
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise workload and work both independently and as part of a team
• A valid driving license
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
