True Value Cars Limited in Christchurch is seeking experienced and motivated Sales & Finance Managers to join our team. This permanent full-time role focuses on helping customers purchase vehicles and secure finance, with presentation of related products and clear explanations of agreements.

Ideal candidates will travel between Dunedin, Christchurch, and Invercargill as required, maintain strong relationships, and strive to meet monthly sales, finance, and retention targets while delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher qualification or 3+ years in automotive sales/finance.
• Proven ability to achieve sales and finance targets.
• Full NZ Driver Licence and willingness to travel between cities.
• Weekend availability essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with vehicle purchases and finance applications.
• Present finance, insurance, warranty, and protection products.
• Explain finance agreements, interest rates, fees, repayment obligations, and all finance documentation clearly and professionally.
• Ensure customers fully understand all finance documents before signing.
• Explain customer rights and obligations under CCCFA and other legislation.
• Liaise with banks, lenders, and finance companies to obtain finance approvals.
• Conduct vehicle demonstrations, test drives, and deliveries; travel to customers’ homes/workplaces as required.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers; provide ongoing support.
• Generate repeat business through upgrade, trade-in, and refinance campaigns.
• Maximise referrals from existing customer database.
• Assist customers with finance and ownership enquiries.
• Ensure all sales and finance documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with policies.

We are seeking experienced and motivatedSales & Finance Managers to join our team in Christchurch .

This is a permanent full time job with a minimum of 40 hours a week.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist customers with vehicle purchases and finance applications
• Present finance, insurance, warranty, and protection products
• Explain finance agreements, interest rates, fees, repayment obligations, and all finance documentation clearly and professionally
• Ensure customers fully understand all finance documents before signing
• Explain customer rights and obligations under the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act (CCCFA) and other relevant legislation
• Liaise with banks, lenders, and finance companies to obtain finance approvals
• Conduct vehicle demonstrations, test drives, and vehicle deliveries
• Travel to customers' homes or workplaces for demonstrations and deliveries when required
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
• Conduct follow-up calls and provide ongoing customer support
• Generate repeat business through upgrade, trade-in, and refinance campaigns
• Maximise referrals from the existing customer database
• Assist customers with finance and ownership enquiries
• Ensure all sales and finance documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with company policies and legislation
• Deliver outstanding customer service throughout the entire sales process
• Achieve monthly vehicle sales, finance, and customer retention targets

The Ideal candidate:

• Bachelor degree or higher qualification OR relevant work experience of minimum 3 years in one or more of the following (Automotive sales / Vehicle finance / Banking / Lending)
• Proven ability to achieve sales and finance targets
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence (or eligibility to obtain one)
• Confident driving both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Good computer and administration skills
• Legal right to work in New Zealand
• Willingness to travel between Dunedin, Christchurch, and lnvercargill as required
• Availability to work every weekend is essential
