Job summary

Pentland Brands is seeking a Product Manager for the Pod 1 Canterbury portfolio. You will own the on-field rugby performance, licensed product areas and seasonal range planning, shaping briefs and working with Design, Development, Sourcing, Brand and Commercial teams to deliver compelling product stories.

You will build briefs informed by athlete needs, club requirements, consumer insight and commercial opportunity, manage critical paths, evaluate gaps and ensure commercially viable decisions

Qualifications

• Experience in product management or creation in sport, apparel, teamwear or licensed product.
• Strong understanding of performance apparel, consumer needs and seasonal range planning.
• Ability to manage product timelines and critical path decisions.
• Commercial awareness with confidence reviewing costs, margin and range size.
• Clear communication to turn insight into actionable briefs.

Responsibilities

• Own the seasonal product plan for rugby performance, on-field and licensed product areas.
• Build product briefs informed by athlete needs, club requirements, consumer insight and commercial opportunity.
• Manage the product critical path with Design, Development, Sourcing, Brand and Commercial teams.
• Evaluate product gaps, range overlaps, licensed requirements and growth opportunities.
• Lead prototype and sample reviews, capturing feedback and agreeing actions with cross-functional teams.
• Support cost, margin and range decisions to ensure commercially viable products.
