Job summary

Palmerston North SSB TRANSPORT SERVICES LIMITED is seeking a Class 5 Truck Driver to join our team in Palmerston North, with scheduled runs to New Plymouth and Auckland. You will plan routes, operate Class 5 vehicles, and ensure safe loading and unloading of goods.

Applicants should have NZ Class 5 license, with 2+ years driving experience, and the ability to pass drug/alcohol testing. Weekend shifts and flexible hours are required, with potential forklift and DG licensing if needed.

Qualifications

• NZ Class 5 Driver License or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years' truck driving experience.
• Able to pass mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
• Willingness to obtain Forklift and DG licenses if not held.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure timely arrival.
• Operate Class 5 vehicles across Palmerston North, New Plymouth and Auckland.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain safety.
• Adhere to road safety regulations and company policies.
• Complete delivery paperwork and logs accurately.
• Maintain communication with dispatch.
• Load and secure loads for safe transport.
