Job summary

SSB Transport Limited is seeking a Class 5 Truck Driver to join our Palmerston North team. You will complete scheduled runs across Palmerston North, New Plymouth and Auckland, with a minimum of 30 hours per week and potential for up to 70 hours weekly.

The role requires a NZ Class 5 license, ability to reverse a truck and trailer, and reliable delivery performance. Wages range from $30 to $35 per hour, based on experience and skills, with pre-employment checks and drug testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of truck driving experience in a similar role.
• NZ Class 5 Driver License or equivalent overseas license.
• Able to pass drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals.
• Operate trucks on various routes and comply with traffic regulations.
• Supervise loading/unloading and ensure careful handling of items.
• Secure loads to prevent damage during transport.
• Maintain delivery records and logs.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections for safety and integrity.
• Coordinate with dispatch for updates and instructions.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and participate in safety training.
