Job summary

Key Exciting Responsibilities

  • Explore and implement emerging technologies, including AI‑powered developer tools, to optimize workflows, improve code quality, and automate repetitive tasks.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • Up to three years of relevant experience or a minimum of one prior technical internship.
  • Strong programming ability in C++ or C#, complemented by scripting experience in Python, JavaScript, Bash, Shell, Ruby, or Perl.
  • Critical thinking and self‑motivation with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Full legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.
Bonus Points For
  • Domain experience in computer vision, photogrammetry, 3D modeling, artificial intelligence, signal processing, image recognition, or GNSS.
  • Familiarity with the Agile software development lifecycle and AI‑powered tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
  • Recent leadership experience in university projects or community organizations.
