Job summary

Trimble in Christchurch, New Zealand invites graduates to join a two-year Software Engineer Rotational Development Program. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Up to three years of relevant experience or a minimum of one prior technical internship.
• Strong programming ability in C++ or C#, complemented by scripting experience in Python, JavaScript, Bash, Shell, Ruby, or Perl.
• Familiarity with Agile software development lifecycle and AI-powered tools.

• Explore and implement emerging technologies, including AI-powered developer tools, to optimize workflows, improve code quality, and automate repetitive tasks. Partner with cross‑functional teams to solve technical challenges, refine user experiences, and advance strategic product goals.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Up to three years of relevant experience or a minimum of one prior technical internship.
• Strong programming ability in C++ or C#, complemented by scripting experience in Python, JavaScript, Bash, Shell, Ruby, or Perl.
• Critical thinking and self‑motivation with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Full legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.
• Bonus points for domain experience in computer vision, photogrammetry, 3D modeling, artificial intelligence, signal processing, image recognition, or GNSS.
• Familiarity with the Agile software development lifecycle and AI‑powered tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
• Recent leadership experience in university projects or community organizations.
