Job summary

Trimble in Christchurch, New Zealand invites graduates to join a two-year Software Engineer Rotational Development Program. You will rotate through four six-month assignments across test, firmware, AI/ML, systems software, and product management, building a strong software engineering foundation and broad cross-functional experience.

You'll design and deploy production code, explore AI-powered tools, and collaborate with diverse teams to advance strategic product goals while gaining visibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Up to three years of relevant experience or a minimum of one prior technical internship.
• Strong programming ability in C++ or C#, complemented by scripting experience in Python, JavaScript, Bash, Shell, Ruby, or Perl.
• Familiarity with Agile software development lifecycle and AI-powered tools.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through four six-month assignments across test, firmware, AI/machine learning, systems software, and product management.
• Design, build, and deploy innovative software applications while contributing to production codebases and real-world projects.
• Explore and implement emerging technologies, including AI-powered tools, to optimize workflows and improve code quality.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges, refine user experiences, and advance strategic product goals.
