Job summary

Ventia in New Zealand seeks a Road Maintenance Worker to maintain the road network and operate construction machinery. You will perform routine roadway maintenance, repairs, graffiti removal, vegetation control and asset inspections while prioritising safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• NZ Class 2 Drivers Licence is required.
• Traffic Management Qualification and WTR are advantageous.
• 2 years of experience in road or civil construction with safe machinery operation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with a wide range of construction plant equipment.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain road network and perform construction operations including machinery operation.
• Provide routine maintenance: minor pavement repairs, barrier/fencing repairs, pedestrian access tracks, graffiti removal, vegetation control, drainage maintenance, litter/debris removal, asset inspections.
• Carry out planned or unplanned asset maintenance as required.
