Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking an experienced Civil Operative to join our team across civil construction projects. You will operate machinery outdoors and contribute to safe, efficient delivery of works within a professional civil crew.

The role requires proven civil experience, a Class 1 Licence, and the ability to work with others on site. Class 2 licence and WTR endorsement are advantageous, and a strong safety focus is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in civil construction.
• Class 1 Driver Licence is essential.
• Class 2 Licence and WTR endorsement are advantageous.
• Experience operating civil machinery.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate civil machinery safely and efficiently.
• Complete earthworks, excavation and general civil tasks.
• Assist with site preparation and ground works.
• Carry out daily machinery checks and report issues.
• Work with labourers, supervisors and other operators.
• Follow site safety procedures and project requirements.
• Maintain high workmanship and site presentation.
