Job summary

Red Badge Group in Milford, North Shore, is seeking a Retail Security Guard to create a safe, welcoming environment and act as a customer ambassador. You’ll work with the Customer Services team to deliver an exceptional visitor experience.

Ideal candidates present professionally, have strong customer service skills, and can handle incidents calmly. Shifts run Monday through Sunday, with 7:00am–2:00pm and 2:00pm–10:00pm blocks. Weekend availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current NZ COA Licence, or the ability to obtain one.
• Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Professional presentation and a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Confidence engaging with a wide range of people, including elderly visitors.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during incidents and medical emergencies.
• Physically fit and capable of being on your feet and walking throughout the entirety of each shift.
• Reliable, punctual, and accountable.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team.
• Previous security, retail, hospitality, healthcare, or customer service experience is advantageous.

Join Red Badge Group as a Retail Security Guard and play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and customer-focused environment in Milford, North Shore.

This is not your typical static security role. You'll be working closely alongside the Customer Services team, acting as both a security presence and a customer ambassador for the site. We're looking for someone who presents professionally, has a friendly and approachable nature, and enjoys interacting with people from all walks of life.

What You'll Be Doing

This role offers shorter rostered shifts across Monday to Sunday, with:

• 7:00am - 2:00pm

Availability across both shift patterns is highly desirable, must be available to work at least 1 weekend day.
