Job summary

Red Badge Group in Auckland is seeking reliable Retail Security Patrol Guards for Westgate. The role combines vehicle patrols and on-site security across a busy retail environment. You will maintain a visible presence, build relationships with retailers and site stakeholders, and respond to incidents, alarms and requests for assistance.

We offer day and night shifts on a 12-hour roster, competitive weekly pay and ongoing training, with a focus on independence and professional presentation.

Qualifications

• COA certificate or ability to obtain one.
• Full NZ driver’s license required.
• Professional, clean and tidy presentation.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Strong observation and problem-solving abilities.
• Must stay focused during extended patrols.
• Physically fit for patrol duties.
• Available to work at least one weekend day per week.

Job description

Looking for a role that offers variety, responsibility, and independence? We're looking for reliable and professional Retail Security Patrol Guards to join our team in Westgate, Auckland.

This role combines vehicle patrols and site security across a busy retail environment. You'll be responsible for maintaining a visible presence, building positive relationships with retailers, and responding to incidents when required.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting regular vehicle patrols throughout the site
• Scanning patrol checkpoints and recording patrol activity
• Building professional relationships with retailers and site stakeholders
• Responding to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance
• Monitoring site activity and reporting security concerns
• Working independently while maintaining high service standards

We have both day and night shifts available, operating on 12-hour rostered shifts:

• Day Shift: 6:00am - 6:00pm
• Night Shift: 6:00pm - 6:00am

What We're Looking For

We're looking for people who take pride in their work and can confidently work on their own.

You’ll ideally have:

• A current Certificate of Approval (COA) or the ability to obtain one
• A full New Zealand driver’s licence (essential)
• A professional, clean, and tidy presentation
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Confident working independently and making sound decisions while patrolling a large retail environment
• Capable of assessing situations quickly and responding appropriately to security, safety, and customer service incident
• Strong observation and problem-solving abilities
• The ability to remain focused during extended patrol periods
• A good level of physical fitness
• Must be available to work at least one weekend day per week

Previous security experience is advantageous, but we also welcome applicants with transferable experience from roles such as customer service, retail, hospitality, military or emergency services etc.
