Job summary

New World Wigram, part of Foodstuffs NZ, is seeking a reliable, motivated team member to support storeroom and day-to-day store operations in a varied, hands-on role. The position offers training in forklift operation, stock management and team supervision, with opportunities to develop new skills.

The role is permanent part-time with a flexible roster including early morning shifts, and is suited to someone comfortable with physical work and taking responsibility within a friendly retail team.

Responsibilities

• Split and organise incoming supplier loads in storeroom.
• Handle stock deliveries and distribute stock efficiently in-store.

• Fill shelves and maintain high merchandising standards.
• Assist with general store operations and customer service when required.
• Follow all food safety and health & safety procedures.

We're looking for a reliable, motivated and hands-on team member to join our team in a varied role supporting our storeroom and day-to-day store operations.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in getting the job done and is comfortable taking responsibility. You'll be involved in everything from stock handling and load splitting to supporting the wider retail team and ensuring our Retail departments run smoothly.

Previous experience is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided to the right person, including opportunities to develop skills in forklift operation, stock management and team supervision.

Hours of Work

This is a permanent part-time position working the following roster (flexible for the right candidate):

• Monday: 6:30am – 12:00pm
• Friday: 6:30am – 3:00pm
• Saturday: 6:30am – 3:00pm

There will also be opportunities to pick up additional shifts when available.

What You'll Be Doing

• Splitting and organising incoming supplier loads in the storeroom
