Job summary

New World Wigram, part of Foodstuffs NZ, is seeking a reliable, motivated team member to support storeroom and day-to-day store operations in a varied, hands-on role. The position offers training in forklift operation, stock management and team supervision, with opportunities to develop new skills.

The role is permanent part-time with a flexible roster including early morning shifts, and is suited to someone comfortable with physical work and taking responsibility within a friendly retail team.

Qualifications

• Experience is desirable but not essential.
• Full training provided in forklift operation, stock management and team supervision.
• Role involves physical work and reliability to support store operations.

Responsibilities

• Split and organise incoming supplier loads in storeroom.
• Handle stock deliveries and distribute stock efficiently in-store.
• Operate a forklift (training provided if required).
• Support and supervise retail team members with daily tasks.
• Fill shelves and maintain high merchandising standards.
• Assist with general store operations and customer service when required.
• Follow all food safety and health & safety procedures.
