Job summary

PwC New Zealand in Auckland is seeking an AI Risk Business Partner at Manager level to help navigate evolving AI risk across the firm. You’ll partner with engagement teams and internal functions, translating policies into practical guidance and embedding responsible AI into daily work.

You’ll work across Technology Risk, Legal, Privacy, and other disciplines, developing guidance, training and tools to support confident decision-making and AI-enabled client solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong judgement, curiosity and relationship-building in a fast-evolving area.
• Experience in risk, governance, technology or regulated environments.
• Ability to translate complex policies, risks or technical concepts into clear, practical guidance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborative mindset with cross-functional coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders and internal teams to understand AI usage and provide practical risk advice.
• Translate AI policies and governance requirements into clear guidance for the workforce.
• Advise teams on responsible AI use including human oversight and escalation requirements.
• Coordinate AI risk matters across specialists including Tech Risk, Legal, Privacy, Independence, Cyber, Data and Risk & Quality.
• Develop practical guidance, FAQs, decision tools, and training to make AI requirements easier to understand.
• Facilitate briefings, workshops and education to build responsible AI capability across PwC NZ.
• Identify recurring AI risk challenges and opportunities to improve controls and ways of working.
• Keep informed on AI developments and translate implications for PwC NZ.
