Job summary

PwC New Zealand seeks an AI Adoption & Transformation Manager/Senior Manager to lead client engagements and shape practical AI strategies in Auckland. You will translate AI developments into business value, design guardrails, and build workforce capability.

This role blends business focus with coaching, executive education, and workshops. You’ll mentor teams, manage senior client relationships, and advance AI-enabled workflows while staying current on evolving AI risks and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience at, or readiness to operate at, Manager or Senior Manager level.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills with executives and boards.
• Ability to explain complex ideas simply without losing substance.
• Genuine passion for technology and helping others use it effectively.
• Regular practical use of AI tools with real-world examples.
• Strong commercial judgement to distinguish demonstrations from value.
• Curiosity about how organisations work and quick process understanding.
• Understanding AI risks including privacy, security, verification, and oversight.
• Willingness to keep learning as AI evolves.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Executive Education sessions for boards and senior leaders.
• Lead hands-on AI upskilling sessions using AI tools.
• Identify high-value AI opportunities across finance, tax, legal and operations.
• Facilitate AI strategy and Responsible AI workshops to set priorities.
• Help clients progress from prompting to research tools, agents, and workflows.
• Redesign workflows with client teams for optimal people+AI mix.
• Help clients design and test human-led AI assistants with controls.
• Stay current on AI developments and translate to practical advice.
• Develop reusable methods and training materials; coach juniors.
