Job summary

Heritage Lifecare is seeking an Activities Coordinator at Palmerston Manor Lifecare in Palmerston North to deliver engaging programs that meet residents' physical, spiritual, cultural, cognitive and emotional needs.

This casual role covers AM shifts and requires a positive, compassionate attitude, good communication, and a full NZ driver’s license to support outings and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for others, ideally in aged care.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Full NZ driver’s license and ability to drive a van.
• Genuine love for helping people with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Commitment to health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate activity programs meeting residents' needs.
• Plan, organise and run activities, outings and events.
• Engage with community groups and whānau to enhance participation.
• Work as part of a team to provide a safe, caring environment.
• Build lasting relationships with residents and their families.
