Job summary

Presbyterian Support Central's Willard Home in Palmerston North is seeking two part-time Health Care Assistants to provide daily living support for Elders and promote independence. The role includes weekend night shifts and a shift roster supporting 24/7 care.

You will work within an Enliven team, delivering high-quality, person-centred care with empathy and respect, while following health and safety practices and documenting care activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Health Care Assistant.
• Hold a Health & Wellbeing Certificate Level 2 or currently working towards it.
• Passionate about supporting the wellbeing of older people.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living and care support to Elders
• Encourage independence and resident‑led decision making
• Deliver high‑quality, individualised support
• Follow health and safety practices and procedures
• Work under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse team
• Ensure resident needs are met effectively and in a timely manner
