Job summary

Heritage Lifecare in Palmerston North is seeking a casual Activities Coordinator to deliver person-centred activity programs for residents at Palmerston Manor Lifecare. You will plan, organise and run activities, outings, and community involvement in a warm, supportive environment.

You will bring caring experience in aged care, strong communication, and a can-do attitude. A full NZ driver’s license and safe-driving focus are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience caring for others, ideally within an aged care environment.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Full NZ drivers' license, and confidence in driving a van.
• A genuine love for helping people, excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and positive attitude.
• A passion for continuous improvement, with a sound understanding of the importance of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and deliver activities, outings, events, and involvement in community groups.
• Deliver activity programs meeting the physical, spiritual, cultural, cognitive, and emotional needs of residents.
• Work with the wider team to create a safe, caring environment and build relationships with residents and whānau.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Activities Coordinator with a passion for caring for others, to make a meaningful difference to the lives of our residents. You will have a positive compassionate attitude, the ability to make others smile, and be great at working with people. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our residents are cared for to the highest standard with kindness and patience, in a warm and caring atmosphere. As an Activities Coordinator you will be involved in the delivery of activity programs that meet the individual physical, spiritual, cultural, cognitive, and emotional needs of residents. This will include the planning, organizing and delivery of activities, outings, events, and involvement in community groups. Your Skills And Experience
