Job summary

Heritage Lifecare seeks an Activities Assistant at Stillwater Lifecare & Village in Nelson. The role is permanent part-time (16 hours per week) with AM and weekend shifts, focusing on delivering a varied activity program to meet residents' physical, spiritual, cultural, cognitive and emotional needs.

You will plan and deliver activities, arrange outings, and engage with residents and their whanau in a warm, supportive environment, contributing to the high standard of care.

Qualifications

• NZQA Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full NZ driver's license and confidence driving a van.
• Genuine care for residents with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Commitment to health, safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver activity programs addressing physical, spiritual, cultural and emotional needs.
• Plan, organise and run activities and outings for residents.
• Engage with residents and whanau to foster a warm, caring environment.
