Placements24 is seeking a remote Senior Industrial Engineer to lead Operations Excellence initiatives across South Africa. The role demands a self-driven professional with a track record in driving significant operational improvements, including logistics, warehousing, and transportation optimization.

You will collaborate with site managers and leadership, design KPIs, mentor engineers, and deliver reports and business cases.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering or operations management.
• Proven Lean and Six Sigma expertise with Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving significant change in complex organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale industrial engineering projects focused on operations excellence.
• Develop and deploy optimization strategies for logistics, warehousing, and transportation operations.
• Identify and champion best practices in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Analyze complex operational data to identify key performance drivers and areas for strategic intervention.
• Design and implement performance management systems and KPIs to track operational progress.
• Collaborate remotely with site managers, operational teams, and senior leadership to drive change initiatives.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on operations excellence methodologies.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and operational staff in implementing improvement projects.
• Author detailed reports, presentations, and business cases for proposed initiatives.
