You will collaborate with site managers and leadership, design KPIs, mentor engineers, and deliver reports and business cases.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering or operations management.
• Proven Lean and Six Sigma expertise with Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving significant change in complex organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale industrial engineering projects focused on operations excellence.
• Develop and deploy optimization strategies for logistics, warehousing, and transportation operations.
• Identify and champion best practices in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.

About the Role

Our client is a leading global logistics provider seeking a highly experienced Remote Senior Industrial Engineer to spearhead their Operations Excellence initiatives across South Africa. This is a fully remote position, demanding a self-driven individual with a proven track record in driving significant operational improvements. You will be responsible for analyzing complex logistics networks, designing and implementing advanced optimization strategies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Leveraging your expertise in industrial engineering, Lean, and Six Sigma, you will identify key opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels. While the role is remote, a deep understanding of the South African operational landscape, particularly concerning hubs like Queenstown, Eastern Cape, ZA , is highly beneficial.
